A popular destination for centuries, the city has over 150 hotels and approaching 5000 bedrooms. In the next few years, this will be swelled by new hotels including a Jurys Inn, a new boutique hotel and an ultra-modern myhotel.
There's also a truly unique selection of venues all within striking distance, from the regal Royal Pavilion to the Brighton Dome, and soon the Brighton I-360 as well, a new 180ft observation tower designed by the same people who thought up the London Eye.
A new International Arena and Ice Rink, with seating for 7,500, is also planned, while many of Brighton's existing venues have enjoyed huge investment over recent years. Food lovers will enjoy the city too, and with over 400 restaurants it's constantly voted the best place to eat in England outside London.
The diversity of Brighton is also reflected in its landscape. On the seafront, you’ll find two award winning beaches, the UK's first permanent beach sports venue, and a superb marina, where over £235 million is being spent on a new 420ft viewing tower, cafés, restaurants and performance stage. As well as the sea, delegates can recharge their batteries on the nearby South Downs, soon to become the UK’s next National Park.
Just 30 minutes from Gatwick, and an hour from London, Brighton is sitting pretty as a truly inspirational destination on England's south coast.
