Getting Here & Around

Birmigham enjoys excellent transport links with one of the busiest airports in the UK for business traffic, second only to London Heathrow, and being located in the centre of the country, making the city easily accessible by road and rail.

Air

As the UK’s second largest airport outside London, Birmingham International Airport offers a huge choice of national, European and global destinations. More than 40 different airlines operate from two terminals, providing a growing number of direct and indirect services. Plus an airlink shuttle to Birmingham International station and the NEC.

Road and Rail

Birmingham is at the heart of England's motorway network. The M5, M6 and M42 are just a few minutes drive from the city centre, while the M1 and M40 are both within easy reach.

Birmingham New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill Stations connect the city with the nation’s rail network and regular services to all major UK towns and cities. Plus Birmingham International station links to the Airport and NEC.

Coach


Digbeth Coach Station is a ten-minute walk away from the city centre, connecting Birmingham with destinations across the country. National Express West Midlands operates frequent routes in and around the city too.

Public Transport

Birmingham offers a comprehensive public transport system with bus, metro and trains all playing their part. Covering every area, the bus network safely carries over one million passengers a day.
