Day 1

Just 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport, some of the finest golf and spa resorts nestle in beautiful countryside or along the banks of the River Thames. Where better to learn from the pros than golf clubs such as at Wentworth, Sunningdale and Stoke Park?

If total relaxation and pampering is more your thing then indulge in the very best treatments at top spas such as
Cliveden, Coworth Park, the Runnymede-on-thames, Danesfield House and the Berystede to name just a few. Whichever you choose you’re guaranteed to leave revived and re-energised.

Day 2

A visit to Royal Windsorwouldn’t be possible without soaking up 1,000 years of history and there’s a unique royal connection too. A professional Blue Badge Guide will bring this fascinating place alive, recommend places to visit, where to shop and where to eat.

At certain times of the year groups can enjoy private tours of
Windsor Castle taking in the sumptuous State Apartments or the Great Kitchens. Expert guides give an extraordinary insight into the behind the scenes life of the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world which remains one of The Queen’s favourite homes.

Likewise a 2-hour specialist tour of
Eton College gives an enthralling insight into one of England’s most famous institutions. The school, founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, is one of the oldest in the country. Its historic buildings are an integral part of the national heritage. Amongst the extensive list of famous Old Etonians are of course Princes William and Harry.

Behind the scene tours are also available at
Ascot Racecourse, the Theatre Royal Windsor and at Dorney Court, a 400-year-old Tudor manor house, regularly visited by Queen Elizabeth I and reputed to be where the first ever pineapple was grown in England.

When the day is done and your thoughts turn to a relaxing night out, you’ll be able to experience some of the finest food in the country if not the world. The village of Bray is just 5 miles from Windsor and is home to not one but two 3 Michelin stared restaurants, Michele Roux’s

Royal Windsor Horse Show and the Royal Ascot race meetingthere’s the Cartier International Polo at the Guard’s Club within Windsor Great Park. Guard’s Club, The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club and The Polo Centre at Coworth Park all welcome non-members to watch their exciting season of fixtures and you also have the opportunity to participate in this exhilarating game by taking a lesson with the experts.

Before your journey home there’s just time to enjoy some time to shop in Windsor and Eton. Both towns have their own history and personality with a rich variety of boutiques, fine arts and crafts, antiques, fashion houses and wine merchants. Many hold Royal Warrants, giving a very special seal of approval and an assurance of quality and a unique personal service.
