4-day Incentive Itinerary Suggestion

Day 1

Whether arriving by air or rail, you are just a short journey from your hotel. With an excellent city centre location as your base you will understand why readers of travel bible, Condé Nast Traveller have voted Liverpool as their third favourite city to visit for two consecutive years - beaten only by the capitals of London and Edinburgh.

You have the early evening free to take in your surroundings, soaking up the atmosphere at your leisure before moving on to dinner at The London Carriage Works. The restaurant serves modern international food, with an emphasis on the use of local, organic and fresh seasonal produce. The innovative and experimental menus, created by the award-winning Chef Patron Paul Askew, are complemented by a carefully selected wine list.

After dinner you’ll find yourself strolling back to your hotel with a host of new sights and sounds whirling around your head and looking forward to the days ahead.

Stay in the uniquely Beatles themed Hard Days Night Hotel or the contemporary Hope Street Hotel. The newly refurbished Atlantic Tower hotel has wonderful views of the historical Albert Docks and the chic Radisson Blu hotel offers breathtaking scenery of the River Mersey for staying guests.

Day 2

After a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel, make your way down to the world famous UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront at Albert Dock. From here you can take a tour on the City Explorer Bus, around some of Liverpool’s key landmarks such as the two Cathedrals, World Museum Liverpool, Walker Art Gallery and the Chinese Arch, as well as seeing plenty more spectacular sights along the way. One stop well worth hopping off the bus for is to experience a River Explorer Cruise on the Mersey Ferry, as made famous in the hit record Ferry ’Cross The Mersey by Gerry & The Pacemakers.

Once back on dry land, a short walk away are the Three Graces at the Pier Head, leading you back to Albert Dock for an opportunity to visit Merseyside Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum or enjoy a private tour of Tate Liverpool -home to international exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. Afterwards relax and enjoy a quiet drink dockside at one of the many stylish establishments.

Of course no trip to Liverpool would be complete without a visit to The Beatles Story, which will transport you on to an enlightening journey in to the life, times, and music of The Beatles. Here a private function with buffet and first class live music can be arranged.

A delightful day will be brought to a close with dinner and drinks at the stunning Panoramic restaurant. This is Britain’s tallest restaurant, located on the 34th floor of Liverpool’s West Tower, reaching 100m above sea level – and on a clear day you can even see the Welsh Mountains. Panoramic combines fine cuisine with unparalleled intimate surroundings. You really will be hitting the heights of fine dining, quite literally.

Day 3

Start the day with a good hearty breakfast at your hotel before heading out to visit a choice of Liverpool’s sporting culture. Nine time League Champions Everton FC offer an excellent stadium tour experience, highlighting the club’s rich heritage. And just across Stanley Park you’ll find Anfield, home of Liverpool FC, whose all-new tours are a must for any football fan. The Ultimate Anfield Experience gives the opportunity to meet and play with a former Liverpool legend as well as a stadium and museum tour. While here in the city, why not sample a Premier League football match first-hand and experience the thrills and spills of what is one of the best leagues in the world. A truly unforgettable experience.

After a short taxi ride back to the city centre, a shopping trip around the new £1billion development, Liverpool ONE, will ensure all your shopping and souvenir needs are catered for. With over 160 shops open until 8pm week days, there are official Liverpool FC and Everton FC stores, flagship stores for John Lewis and Debenhams, and the largest Topshop outside London. At Liverpool ONE you’ll also find an exciting range of bars and restaurants and 14-screen cinema, open until late – in fact, you will find it hard to leave.

Just around the corner is the spiritual home of The Beatles on Mathew Street. Here you will find the world famous Cavern Club. Take some time to reflect on your busy day and unwind at The Cavern with live music at the birthplace of The Beatles.

Day 4

Before departing the Northwest the golfers among you must sample the Finest stretch of Championship Golf in the World’.

England's Golf Coast is home to 19 of the most naturally beautiful golf courses in Britain. With breath-taking coastline, picturesque countryside and amazing courses, it is an irresistible combination for a golfing experience of a lifetime.

With the highest concentration of Championship links golf in the world, England’s Golf Coast is home to three of the Top 20 and seven of the Top 36 courses in UK and Ireland. Three of the links courses are even among the worlds Top 75. These are some of the UK's best and most challenging golf courses located on some of the most naturally beautiful coastline in Britain.

England’s Golf Coast includes three Royal links courses – Royal Birkdale, Royal Liverpool and Royal Lytham & St Anne’s – which have hosted the Open Championship an impressive 30 times.

Making your way back to the City Centre to commence your onward journey and you’ll take away with you plenty of special memories and reasons to return.

Liverpool City Region will leave you lost for words, but not for things to do.
