AIM - Quality Assessement Scheme

Meeting venues across England are now quality assessed by one of the UK's leading Industry Associations, the MIA.
 
AIM is the recognised brand of excellence for the meetings industry.

AIM is endorsed by VisitBritain, Visit England, Visit Wales and Meeting Professionals International and the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers and is the scheme designed to aid buyers find the very best venues and industry suppliers for meetings, conferences and events.

AIM measures the facilities and legal compliance of venues and suppliers to the industry and as all participants in the scheme have signed the Meetings CODE you can be sure that they are people you will feel comfortable doing business with.


How does AIM work?

There are three levels of AIM Accreditation, Entry, Silver and Gold. At each level the scheme checks 60 key criteria so that you don’t have to, these include:

• The location & accessibility of the meeting room/s & the overall facilities provided.
• How the meeting room/s are heated and lit.
• What levels of security the meeting rooms offer.
• How often the rooms are serviced.
• How often the rooms are decorated.
• Whether the space and furniture are adequate and suitable.
• The provision of in-room services.
• What is included in the price.
• How transparent are the published prices.
• How accessible the rooms and public areas are.
• How the venue is contributing to improving the environment.

The scheme insists that all AIM accredited venues & suppliers are fully legal compliant in all relevant areas the checks include:

• Health & Safety at Work and Fire Safety
• Disability, Sex & Age Discrimination, and Race Relations
• Employers Liability
• Data Protection
• Sale & Supply of Goods
• Trade Descriptions
• Consumer Protection
• Weights & Measures, Licensing Laws


The scheme insists that all AIM accredited venues and suppliers sign up to the Meetings CODE a CODE which contains four key elements which go towards creating a truly trouble free event:

• Consistency – you can you expect a consistent level of service
• Openness – they will be open and transparent in all dealings with you
• Decency – they treat their staff and customers with respect
• Ethics – they are ethical in their dealings with people and the environment


AIM at the SILVER & GOLD

AIM at Silver and Gold is a coveted achievement as it measures customer service from the first contact through to the 'on the day' experience and in the unlikely event that they receive a complaint, it even measures how they deal with it.
